Where is Mt Tumbarumba?

Located halfway between Sydney and Melbourne in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains, Mt Tumbarumba is right on the edge of town in Tumbarumba: a charming town that combines natural beauty, rich history, and a warm community spirit. What sort of trails are there?

The trail network boasts a mix of technical granite riding, flow trails, jump trails and green, blue and black rides through open native bushland and forested gullies with plenty of other riding available around town for variety.

How much does it cost to ride Mt Tumbarumba?

Mt Tumbarumba is a paid-access mountain bike facility, with a range of pass options available. Your access fees contribute to maintaining and developing our trails and facilities.

When is Mt Tumbarumba open?

Mt Tumbarumba is open all hours for holders of the mountain pass. The mountain bike trail network will close for the winter season to protect the trails and riders from icy conditions. Passholders are responsible for adhering to the code of conduct.

Do I have to book shuttles in advance?

The earlier you book the better your chances are at not missing out.

Can I drive to the top and shuttle myself?

No, private shuttling is not permitted on Mt Tumbarumba for safety and insurance reasons. A cut of your shuttle pass goes directly to Mt Tumbarumba for maintenance.

Can I bring my dog or ride my horse on Mt Tumbarumba?

No animals are permitted within the Mt Tumbarumba mountain bike park.
